Completed in 1930, the Chrysler Building is a striking example of Art Deco architecture, designed by William Van Alen for automotive pioneer Walter P. Chrysler. It held the title of the tallest building in the world for about 11 months. Chrysler Building was the firs sky scraper to receive its stunning stainless steel cladding.
